“Reagan History in Tuscaloosa”

Since I will be leaving Tuscaloosa in a couple of days I had to make a visit to one of the only McDonald’s. After speaking at Coleman Coliseum in 1984 Reagan stopped off at the Northport McDonald’s and order a big mac, large fry and a sweet tea. I ordered the same. A little Presidential history right here in Alabama.

May 5th , 2012 is the day i graduated from the University of Alabama. With a B. A. in Political Science and History. My Parents, My Brothers, My Aunt Laurie and Uncle Gary, My Grandmother, and My Aunt Laurie Holfman. Eight people altogether came from California to watch me watch across that stage and graduate. My parents rented a condo at “the Chimes” which is directly across from where the ceremony was held in Coleman Coliseum. The Commencement Ceromony was at 9 a.m. My dad got there at 7 a.m. and got front row seats. My Alabama Grandma Stella, My Roommate/Friend DeAnte, Pledge Brothers Kyle, Jacob and his Girlfriend Taylor also attended along with my Family. It was  bittersweet, but everything must come to an end and my future must begin. But there will always be, Sweet Home Alabama!

April 27th one year ago a F4 tornado hit Tuscaloosa. The University and City had a ceremony to mark the event of the lives lost and damage done to this city.  Some city officials spoke as well as Alabama’s Interim President.  A bell rang for every person lost on that day. It was a well produced cermony. Thanks to my Fraternity brother Chaize DeSio for coming with me.

For Spring Break this year I along with 3 of my fraternity brothers and 4 other friends headed down to Destin, Florida. It was a great trip, we laid on the beach for a least five hours a day, and went out at night. The Condo we stayed in was nice but the lady that decorated really loved cats, weird art and the 70′s. Our room was minutes from the beach, across the street and your there. We set up our chairs near the Whales Tail a local beach side bar and restaurant. All and All had a blast. Destin is a nice place with white sanded beaches and a lot of great shops and restaurants.

This past weekend was the celebration for the winning of the 14th national Championship for Alabama. I attended with my fraternity brothers Brian and Kyle. Although I would have rather of had a parade to celebrate. It was nice to be in the Bryant-Denny Stadium for one more time.

I attended the Alabama High School Championship at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Some of my friends went to Prattville High, who was playing Hoover. Prattville won the game with Hoover trying for  2-points and not getting it in, losing by one point. During the last quarter of the game Trent Richardson showed up and walked around taking pictures and meeting people.

Last Weekend I went down south to Pratville to my Fraternity brothers Kyle’s house. We went to the Prattville playoff game that they won and will send them to tuscaloosa for the championship against Hoover High School. Then from there we drove down to Auburn. Saturday morning we got up and I met up with my other brother Jacob and his girlfriend Taylor. We went to the Auburn Phi Sig house then to Moe’s bar. They went to the game and I stayed at Moe’s to watch the game. We beat Auburn as expected and if everything goes well we are headed to the BCS National Championship.

Leaving the Stadium

As an undergraduate, Saturday was my last home football game. These past three years have been some of the best of my life so far. Transferring in 2009 and winning the national championship was surreal but this year when we beat Auburn next week  we will go for another Championship in three years.

“My Last Home Game?”

Tomorrow is my official last home game at the University of Alabama or least as an undergraduate. These past 3 years have been some of the best of my life so far. My first season here at Alabama was my favorite not only because it was my first, but because we went all the way to Pasadena, our 13th National Championship. I am just not ready to leave Alabama so I am going to apply for graduate school in political science. It would be two more years here at Bama and two more football seasons. But if I do not get into to graduate school, I will be ever grateful to my parents for allowing me to attend such a great University dripping in deep traditions.

My parents came down for the weekend and the LSU game. We went out to eat a lot and one of the places was City Cafe. Its good southern down home food with very reasonable prices. The fried chicken was my favorite.
